Dead Cells Mobile's final free updates delayed, but with a confirmed release date!
The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been pushed back. However, developer Playdigious has announced a firm release date of February 18th, 2025, for both updates on Android and iOS.
What's in store? Let's take a look at what players can expect based on the console and PC releases:
Clean Cut: This update introduces two new weapons: the Sewing Scissors (Survival-focused) and the Giant Comb (Brutality-focused). A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance. Additional content is also included.
The End is Near: Get ready for new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. This update also adds new skills and colorless mutations, such as Demonic Strength (a 30% damage boost when cursed, increasing by 1% per curse stack).
A fitting end to free updates: Playdigious has consistently delivered free content to Dead Cells players. While the end of free updates was initially met with some disappointment (allowing the studio to focus on new projects), the quality and quantity of added content certainly warrant a celebratory conclusion.
