After the releases of *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, some experts from CD Projekt RED chose to embark on new ventures, one of which led to the creation of *The Blood of Dawnwalker*. This exciting new game comes from Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by a veteran from CD Projekt RED, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz. In discussing his decision to leave CDPR, Tomaszkiewicz shared his vision and motivations:
"I wanted to explore new horizons with my friends, which led to the founding of Rebel Wolves. We're deeply passionate about role-playing games and their rich histories. However, I believe there's room to innovate and expand on traditional RPG mechanics. We've brainstormed some daring concepts that we feel could revolutionize the genre. Convincing a large corporation to take a chance on completely new intellectual property is tough. That realization pushed us to start our own studio where we could freely pursue these ideas. It's a risk, but we're committed to pioneering new solutions. In a smaller studio like ours, working closely with people and fostering strong relationships is more straightforward than in larger studios. A compact team can achieve more due to better communication and easier discussions about our creative vision. It's in this environment that we can truly ignite the 'creative fire' and craft something truly unique."
