Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting lineup of content for Crusader Kings III, slated for release throughout 2025 as part of Chapter IV. This chapter focuses on expanding the game's scope into Asia, introducing new mechanics and regions for players to delve into.
The rollout begins with the recently launched cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This elegant pack includes six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, offering players more ways to customize their rulers and enhance their visual experience.
On April 28, the first major expansion, Khans of the Steppe, will be released. This DLC lets players take control of the Mongols, assuming the role of the Great Khan. Lead your nomadic horde to conquer new lands and assert dominance over neighboring regions, immersing yourself in the thrilling dynamics of steppe warfare.
Next up, the Coronations DLC, set to launch in Q3 (July–September), introduces a new ceremonial mechanic. Players can solidify their rule through grand coronation events, which involve hosting lavish celebrations, making solemn vows, and charting the course of their kingdom. This expansion also includes new advisor and vassal events, enriching the political landscape and adding depth to royal succession.
The chapter culminates with the release of All Under Heaven, a comprehensive expansion arriving later in 2025. This massive update features a detailed East Asian map, encompassing China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have vast new territories to explore and conquer, expanding their empires across this richly detailed region.
In addition to these expansions, Paradox Interactive will release patches between DLCs to refine game systems and improve AI behavior. The developers are committed to incorporating player feedback, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26, ensuring that future updates align with the community's desires.
