*Arise Crossover* might seem straightforward at first glance, where you gather Shadow units and attack enemies to enhance your team. But as you reach the endgame, the complexities become evident, leaving even seasoned players puzzled about progression, leveling up, and choosing the right Shadows. If you're one of those players, this guide is tailored to help you navigate through *Arise Crossover* more effectively.
How Shadows Work in Arise Crossover

In Arise Crossover, each of the three islands features various recruitable Shadows and one formidable dungeon Shadow. Based on types, Soondoo is the weakest unit, available right from the start, while Mifalcon is the strongest, obtainable on the final Brum Island.

However, it's not just about types; ranks are crucial. A Rank A Soondoo outperforms a Rank D Mifalcon. Higher-ranked units can level up further than their lower-ranked counterparts. For instance, a Rank D unit tops out at Level 75, whereas an SS Unit can reach Level 200. The ultimate goal is to assemble a team of four SS Mifalcons, but the journey to get there is where the real challenge lies.
Arise Crossover Dungeon Guide

Dungeon Portals in Arise Crossover spawn every 30 minutes and remain active for 15 minutes. Even if you enter a dungeon just before a portal closes, you'll still be able to complete it fully, as it's treated as entering a different game instance.
Portals can appear in various locations across each island, with their difficulty rank being randomly determined. Start your journey by forming a team of Rank D units and tackle a Rank D or C dungeon on Leveling Island. This approach will help you build a solid unit base and potentially recruit a rare (boss) Shadow Unit. Dungeons are your key to recruiting Rare Units and common units above Rank C.

Whenever a portal spawns, seize the opportunity. Even if your team isn't up to par, position yourself near the portal and wait for a higher-level player to join. Many experienced players can solo these dungeons and are often willing to help lower-level players through, boosting them to acquire higher-ranking units. Recruiting Shadows from dungeons is essential for progression in Arise Crossover.
In our experience, a kind player helped us through a Rank A dungeon when we only had Rank C units, enabling us to recruit Rank A units and progress towards the endgame. We later returned the favor, assisting players with Rank D units through a Rank S dungeon. We encourage you to pay it forward as well.
Arise Crossover Weapons

During this Beta phase, player weapons in Arise Crossover are largely ineffective. While they might offer some initial damage boost, their impact diminishes as you progress. The Iron Kando Blade, the strongest common weapon, costs 60 million and deals 516,1K damage. In contrast, your units can deliver 200 to 400 million damage, making weapons a less worthwhile investment. Save your money for future updates unless you have funds to spare.
How to Get a Mount in Arise Crossover
Screenshot by The Escapist
Similar to dungeons, wild mounts spawn every 15 minutes, with only one player on the server able to attempt to claim each mount. A server-wide message alerts players to a new spawn, but you won't be notified if someone else claims it or if it disappears.
Mounts can appear in six different locations: on the back of the main islands or on smaller side islands between them. Check the developer's map for specific spawn locations.

You can't claim the same mount more than once, and capture attempts can fail. Flying mounts are the rarest, with a 10% spawn rate, while ground mounts are more common, and water mounts can be purchased from the Boat Shop NPC.
To obtain a mount, wait for the server message and race to the six possible locations. If you miss one, simply wait for the next message. While mounts aren't necessary for game progression, a flying mount significantly eases travel. We're still on the hunt for our flying mount!
