How To Craft & Level Up Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Crafting gems in Dynasty Warriors: Origins requires Pyroxene, which can be used at any Inn or tent in the game. When you're in your room, select the "Create Gems" option, the second from the top. You can use as much Pyroxene as you want, with each piece offering a one-to-one chance to craft one of five possible gems.
Once you craft a base gem, it starts at level 1 and can be equipped from the Battle Preparations menu. Subsequent crafts of the same gem type will contribute XP to the base gem, increasing its level and potency with each upgrade. If you're not particular about specific gems, it's perfectly fine to use all your Pyroxene at once to craft multiple gems and level them up randomly.
For those who prefer targeting specific gems, you can try to trigger the "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" effect. This occurs randomly when crafting a single gem and limits the possible outcomes to three randomly selected gems for all subsequent Pyroxene used. If you're not happy with the selection, you can exit and re-enter the gem crafting menu to reset the effect. While crafting one gem at a time can be slow, it's a strategy to increase your chances of getting the gem you want.
The "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" feature helps reduce the randomness of gem crafting but doesn't eliminate it entirely.

Where To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Pyroxene can be found scattered throughout the overworld as orange crystals protruding from the ground. Interacting with these crystals will grant you one Pyroxene and cause the crystal to disappear. After completing a Skirmish or Battle, some Pyroxene will respawn on the overworld map, encouraging you to revisit and explore old areas frequently as new Pyroxene continually emerges. Additionally, you may occasionally receive Pyroxene from letters, which you can read in your room at an Inn or tent.
