Embark on a side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to help Master Schindel recover his stolen belongings during the main story in Kuttenberg. This guide will help you navigate the challenges of "Master Schindel’s Toys."
Starting the Quest:
The "Master Schindel’s Toys" quest begins during the "Into the Underworld" main mission. You'll need to track down an informant named Goatskin. Begin by speaking with the Bathhouse Madam, then Adam, who will reveal Goatskin's theft.
Finding Goatskin requires a bit of detective work. You can speak with Lousy Mary, or follow Udo, a bathhouse customer who appears in the evening on the first floor. Following Udo is recommended; he’ll be robbed by Goatskin in an alley, leading to a confrontation.
Locating the Map and the Underground:
During your encounter with Goatskin, attempt to obtain a map of the Kuttenberg Underground. If you fail a skill check, bribery might be necessary. The map is located on a corpse at the Kuttenberg gallows (southeastern city).
Navigating the Kuttenberg Underground is tricky. Use the map to find the stolen items.
Retrieving the Stolen Items:
To efficiently locate the stolen items, find the northern ladder leading down into the underground area near the open space. Bring a torch, as it's completely dark. Keep turning left at each junction; you'll eventually reach a barrel at a dead end containing a book and an astrolabe—Goatskin’s stash. Remember to jump down to lower areas as needed.
Return to Master Schindel (usually found northeast in the city during the day) and return his stolen items to complete the quest, earning reputation points and rewards. He'll even share some knowledge about the astrolabe and planetary movements.
