Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing exciting quests that encourage competition through fast clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong statement regarding cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings. The company is committed to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom warned, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This clear stance aims to deter any form of cheating within the game.
Capcom also highlighted the risks associated with multiplayer hunts, noting that participating in quests with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for all party members. They advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those engaging in prohibited activities or those suspected of such behavior. The company encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests introduced in Title Update 1 will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be available to all participants, while others will be based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This system underscores Capcom's decision to enforce strict measures against cheating, as it directly impacts the fairness of reward distribution and competition.
These competitive quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja. To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Make sure to head there as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
