The beloved Dungeons & Dragons show, Critical Role, featuring voice actors like Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, and Travis Willingham, is set to conclude its Campaign 3 with an epic finale. Scheduled for an eight-and-a-half-hour special stream, the final episode will air on February 6 at 7pm Pacific / 10pm Eastern, and February 7 at 3am in the UK. Fans can catch the action live on Critical Role's YouTube, Twitch channels, and their membership platform, Beacon.
This monumental episode will wrap up the adventures of Bells Hells, which kicked off back in October 2021. While no immediate follow-ups or spin-offs have been announced for Bells Hells, Critical Role has assured fans that the rich world of Exandria will continue to spawn new tales.
Marisha Ray, a creative director and cast member, shared her thoughts on the finale, saying, "This finale for Campaign 3 marks the end of one very epic chapter of Exandrian history. But while we celebrate the end of this chapter, I think it’s important to know that the story continues with a simple turn of the page. I’m very excited to see what happens next in this story that remains to be written by the incredible emergent storytellers who are picking up the pen."
Even as Campaign 3 comes to a close, Critical Role's content schedule remains robust. Just a week later, on February 14, the next installment of the Exandria Unlimited mini-series will premiere, featuring four episodes. The studio is also expected to continue with various other shows and streams.
Looking ahead, while the start date for Campaign 4 remains unannounced, fans can expect a new chapter soon. Historically, there's been a few months' gap between campaigns, with the first Vox Machina series ending in October 2017 and the Mighty Nein beginning in January 2018, followed by Campaign 3 in October 2021 after the Mighty Nein's June 2021 conclusion. With Critical Role approaching its 10-year anniversary on March 12, this could be an opportune moment for an announcement or even the launch of a new series.
