The Bug Out event is making a thrilling return to Pokémon Go, featuring a swarm of Bug-type Pokémon and introducing Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch, for the first time. This exciting event will take place from March 26th to 30th, offering players a plethora of wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and new challenges to dive into.
During the Bug Out event, Lure Modules will be crucial, not only attracting Sizzlipede but also increasing the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop if enough are caught using a single Lure Module.
In addition to the increased activity, you can earn double XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with enhanced Candy XL chances for trainers at level 31 and above. Shiny hunters will be thrilled with the improved odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
Bug-type Pokémon will be abundant in the wild, with frequent sightings of Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out for the rare Cutiefly as well.
In one-star raids, you'll encounter Sizzlipede, alongside Scyther and Nincada, while three-star raids will feature Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.
Don't miss out on the free Timed Research, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking for additional rewards, a Paid Timed Research option is available for $2 or the local equivalent, offering encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an extra Lure Module.
Engage in new Collection Challenges to earn Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, and participate in PokéStop Showcases to highlight event-themed Pokémon. Be sure to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket to enhance your event experience.
