Neowiz and Gamfs N have just launched the first content update for BrownDust2 since its 1.5-year anniversary celebration in December. Dubbed Onsen Training, this update brings a sizzling new experience to the game.
Onsen Training transports you to a Japanese winter hot spring, complete with swordfighting battles and the signature challenges of BrownDust2. Brace yourself for some hilarious monkey antics, making this update both entertaining and wild.
BrownDust2 Is Ready for an Onsen Training
The update introduces three new characters to the fray. Ventana, the protagonist of the story, along with Liberta, are available as playable characters through the pickup draw. Meanwhile, Blade remains exclusive to the narrative.
Set in the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden’s Gate of BrownDust2, the Onsen Training event story features 30 battles, split evenly between 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.
The adventure kicks off with Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, who recently suffered a humiliating defeat against Justia, a new student. Determined to restore her honor, Ventana seeks out a snowy mountain hot spring rumored to boost physical strength. Her training plans take an unexpected turn when she encounters the mischievous Snowy Mountain Monkeys.
Ventana's rescue comes in the form of Blade, a legendary graduate of the Kendo Club, who swiftly turns down her request for swordsmanship training. Enter Liberta, the hot spring manager, who steps up to help Ventana win Blade's tutelage.
There’s a New Mini-Game
Introducing Onsen Tile Tactics, a new mini-game where players race against time to clear tiles. The event story unfolds in phases, starting with Legendary Graduate in the first week and culminating with Beyond Legend in the third week.
Players will confront both returning and new bosses. The first week sees the return of Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter boss. In the third week, players will face the fiery Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a massive monkey that becomes stronger when targeting enemies with DoT effects.
Additionally, the Guild Raid boss Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut. Lacking any properties, Rucersingha unleashes devastating attacks and requires numerous chain stacks to be defeated.
The update also offers new gear and costumes for players to collect. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, which can be obtained until February 13th.
