The mobile RPG Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude, having surpassed 1 million downloads since its late March release, is celebrating with a comedic crossover event featuring the popular South Korean webcomic The Sound of Your Heart.
The Sound of Your Heart, a Naver Webtoon series by Jo Seok that ran from 2006 to 2020, boasts over 7 billion views and a Netflix adaptation. The collaboration brings its quirky cast to Boomerang RPG.
Who's Joining the Crossover?
Players will encounter Jo Seok, his formidable wife Aebong, her father Jjaeddanyo, and Jo Seok's friend Buuk Suh (whose health is represented by falling flower petals).
The event challenges players to rescue Aebong, Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh from a dungeon. Upon clearing the dungeon, they join the player's team. The final boss? Dark Aebong, Aebong's evil alter-ego, whose animations are directly inspired by the webcomic's iconic scenes.

The collaboration introduces a 21-day attendance event offering free collab characters. Limited-edition boomerangs—including a drumstick, golf club, hairdryer, and stylus—are also available. A Token Event lets players collect food-themed tokens (kimchi, tomato, noodles, chicken) to exchange for unique magic effects and legendary boomerangs.
