Battlefield 6 is targeting an October launch with an $80 price point.
According to respected leaker Dealabs' Billbil-kun, rumors regarding an October 10, 2025 release are accurate. Battlefield 6 will arrive on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S in both a Standard Edition ($79.99) and a Premium Phantom Edition ($109.99). Notably, the PC version is expected to be $10 cheaper than console counterparts.
With pre-orders anticipated to launch on July 31, reports indicate there will be no early access regardless of edition purchased—a slight departure from current industry norms—while Standard owners can upgrade to Phantom for an additional $29.99 at any time.
An open beta is also confirmed directly by the Battlefield team. On social media, the official account queried player preference between locked and unlocked weapons, proposing: "why not both?"
"Starting with Open Beta, players can opt into official playlists featuring class-locked Signature Weapons or play without restrictions. More details to follow."
EA is prepared to fully unveil its next title within hours. Confirmed as Battlefield 6, the first trailer will drop later today on July 24 at 8am PT.
Prior to the full reveal, a short campaign teaser was shared online yesterday, highlighting a major geopolitical conflict. Set in the near future, the single-player mode depicts NATO under assault: its Georgian base is struck, Gibraltar is invaded, and the Secretary-General is assassinated at Brussels headquarters by the faction Pax Armata.
The wait for Battlefield 6 has been lengthy. First hinted back in 2021, largely as EA confirmed ongoing development following Battlefield 2042. We have since viewed early concept art and learned the game returns to a modern setting. Most information thus far stems from leaky NDAs and enthusiastic participants in closed Battlefield Labs tests.
The recent playtest proved highly leaky, with developer DICE citing "loads of feedback" from active testers. Unlike Battlefield 2042's mixed reception, fans appear quite satisfied with current previews. For a period, EA even allowed leaked footage to remain online. Revealed features include a new drag mechanic and vehicle clinging ability, enhanced movement physics, 3D maps, improved destruction systems, better quality-of-life updates, and the initiation of a battle royale match.
