Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is now undergoing stress testing. While some Sony console players received early access, players opting out are advised to reinstall the game.
Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play between PC and consoles, facilitated by linked Larian accounts. Remarkably, modded gameplay is also supported cross-platform, provided all mods are available across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's mod count remains below ten.
A significant addition is split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S, previously unavailable due to the console's limitations.
Further enhancements include a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, enriching gameplay diversity. Bug fixes and balance adjustments are also included, though some issues may persist. A comprehensive changelog is available on the game's official page.
