After completing the main quest of Assassin's Creed Shadows, you'll find that the game's expansive open world remains fully accessible. This means you can continue to explore the rich landscapes of Feudal Japan and engage in all the side content the game has to offer. Whether it's completing side missions, exploring new regions, or engaging in additional challenges, the world is yours to discover at your own pace.
Moreover, Assassin's Creed Shadows will continue to evolve with new weekly challenges introduced through the Animus post-launch. This ensures that even after achieving 100% completion, there will always be something new to strive for.
Assassin's Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Even after the credits roll, your journey in Assassin's Creed Shadows may not be over. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet received the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue.
To unlock the epilogue and experience the true ending, you'll need to complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will lead you to the complete ending of Assassin's Creed Shadows and unlock the associated achievements.
Additionally, exclusive gear sets themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke become available near the endgame. These sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's playstyle, offering both functional and nostalgic appeal for long-time fans of the Assassin's Creed series.
As for endgame content, players can continue to level up and progress towards the game's maximum level cap, ensuring there's always something to work towards.

While the main story of Assassin's Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the game's future looks bright with additional content on the horizon. New content will be added through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with fresh items.
Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025. This DLC will introduce a new location, the Island of Awaji, and provide over 10 hours of additional content, further expanding the world of Assassin's Creed Shadows.
