Ubisoft has officially announced the global release times for the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Unlike previous entries in the franchise and other Ubisoft titles, Assassin’s Creed Shadows features a unified release date across all platforms, with no option for early access through additional payment.
The game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at 12am local time on March 20. However, PC players will experience different release times depending on the platform—Steam or Ubisoft's own Ubi Connect. Pre-loading is already available on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC, ensuring a smooth launch for eager fans.
The stakes are high for Assassin’s Creed Shadows following a series of delays and the underwhelming sales of last year's Star Wars Outlaws. Ubisoft has faced significant challenges, including high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations leading up to this release.
