Wang Yue, an upcoming fantasy ARPG, is gearing up for its technical testing phase, having recently secured its publishing license in China. This initial test will allow a select group of players to experience the game, identify bugs, and provide valuable feedback before the official release.
A Fractured World
Wang Yue's technical test introduces a world ravaged by a cataclysmic solar event. The planet is fractured, leaving two distinct continents adrift in a bizarre gravitational anomaly. Tian Yue City, a breathtaking inverted metropolis, hangs suspended in the sky above a ruined landscape. Players assume the role of Qing Wu, a mysterious character thrust into this chaotic new reality after a betrayal and awakening to a world where the once-ominous sun is now revered. The reasons behind the city's inversion, the sun's newfound status, and the shadowy figures seeking Qing Wu's demise remain to be discovered.
Player Agency and Dynamic Interaction
Wang Yue challenges traditional open-world conventions, discarding repetitive quests and mindless combat in favor of exploration and player-driven narratives. Players are free to explore both the skies above Tian Yue City and the secrets hidden within the ruins below. The game features dynamic NPCs who react to player actions, creating consequences for both disruptive and helpful behaviors.
Community Involvement
The developers emphasize player feedback, planning interactive discussions, design contests, and other community events to shape the game's development. Registration for the technical test is now open on the official website.
