Apple has greenlit a third season of its breakout hit Severance.
The sci-fi psychological thriller from Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson reigns as Apple TV+'s most-watched original series, with its recently concluded second season setting new streaming records. Read IGN's Severance Season 2 review for our critical take on the latest installment.
"Severance has been one of the most creatively fulfilling projects of my career," Stiller remarked. "Though I won't remember it afterward, I'm told working on Season 3 will be just as rewarding - these memories too will be permanently erased from my consciousness."
"I'm thrilled to reunite with Ben, Dan, our phenomenal cast and crew, Apple, and the entire Severance team," added star and executive producer Adam Scott. "Quick note: If you happen to encounter my 'innie' self, kindly avoid mentioning any of this to him. Much appreciated."

Here's Apple's official synopsis:
"In Severance, Mark Scout (Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries where employees undergo a memory-partitioning procedure that separates their work and personal lives. This radical 'work-life balance' experiment gets disrupted when Mark becomes entangled in a mystery that forces him to question his work's true purpose - and his own identity.""Season 2 saw Mark and his colleagues face devastating consequences after tampering with the severance boundary, sending them spiraling into deeper turmoil. New cast members Sarah Bock and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson joined as series regulars."
While no premiere date has been announced, Stiller reassured fans during an appearance on the New Heights podcast that Season 3 won't face the same three-year production gap as its predecessor.
"That absolutely won't happen again," Stiller stated. "We'll be sharing our production timeline soon. The delays were due to industry strikes and the extensive post-production needed for Season 2's 186-day shoot. We're grateful our audience remained patient."
