Ubisoft Mainz has just shared exciting new details about their upcoming game, *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, through a captivating new trailer. Initially, players were introduced to the idea of exploring two distinct regions: Lazio and Albion. However, the latest preview suggests that the serene region of Lazio serves as the starting point for your journey before you transition into the game's primary setting, Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer elaborates that Lazio starts off as a tranquil haven until an unexpected disaster forces players to venture into the uncharted territories of Britain, known in the game as Albion. This region is notorious for its challenging environment, marked by a harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its distance from Rome, which makes governing these lands a complex task.
In *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, players step into the shoes of a governor with the mission to navigate these challenges. Instead of relying solely on force, players are encouraged to promote peace and stability by respecting and integrating local customs. A particularly innovative feature is the ability to customize ships, offering players strategic choices between speed enhancements with additional oarsmen or increased firepower with onboard archery turrets.
Set to launch in 2025, *Anno 117: Pax Romana* will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms, promising a rich and immersive experience in the ancient world of Rome and beyond.
