Schell Games, in collaboration with publisher Innersloth, has set the stage for Among Us 3D's debut. The announcement came via Among Us 3D's official Twitter (X) on April 16, marking May 6, 2025, as the day to circle on your calendar.
Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to cater to a wider audience with its cross-play multiplayer feature. This week, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which offers players unprecedented flexibility in their in-game purchases, as it never expires.
Among Us 3D is packed with exciting additions, including a permanent Tag Mode with the new Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and a variety of new and returning mini-games. Players can also look forward to an array of fresh cosmetics to personalize their characters.
It's important to note that Among Us 3D is a distinct entity from the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022. Cross-play between the two games will not be available.
