Among Us 3D: A First-Person Perspective on Deception
Innersloth, the creators of the wildly popular Among Us, are launching a new dimension of deception with Among Us 3D. Building on the success of their VR adaptation, Among Us 3D delivers the classic social deduction gameplay in a fully immersive first-person experience, playable without a VR headset.
The core mechanics remain intact, but reimagined for traditional gaming setups. A recent teaser trailer hints at the enhanced visual experience of completing tasks, attending emergency meetings, and executing sabotage, all from the unique perspective of your chosen character. Gamers will have an early opportunity to experience this new perspective during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available.
While a release date is yet to be confirmed, Among Us 3D will initially launch on PC, optimized for keyboard and mouse controls. A redesigned interface prioritizes ease of use. Excitingly, cross-play functionality will connect Among Us 3D players with those enjoying the Among Us VR experience. The original Among Us will remain a separate entity.
Innersloth is also adding a new in-game currency, Stardust, in the coming months. This will unlock expanded customization options, allowing players to further personalize their avatars and contribute to the ongoing development of the game.
