MotorSim 2 is a sophisticated performance calculator for land vehicles. It's crucial to understand that this application is a physics simulator, not a driving game; it models straight-line acceleration performance only.
This app lets you meticulously define vehicle specifications and then calculates the resulting performance characteristics. An interactive simulator provides real-time feedback, including a speedometer, tachometer, throttle, brake, and gear shifting (manual or automatic). The simulator features procedurally generated engine sounds (not sample-based) and displays vehicle position on a 1/4-mile track. Saved simulations ("ghosts") allow for direct performance comparisons between different configurations.
