This app, "Hasami Shogi (Japanese chess scissors)," lets you play three types of shogi: Hasami Shogi, Prisoner's Base Shogi, and Surround Shogi. All three use infantry and gold pieces.
Hasami Shogi: Capture opponent's pieces by sandwiching them between your own. Win by capturing three pieces. Note that game length may vary due to the nature of the game.
Prisoner's Base Shogi: Move your infantry pieces across a 3x3 board to occupy your opponent's territory. Opponent's pieces can be jumped over. Control all of the opponent's territory to win.
Surround Shogi: Similar to Hasami Shogi, you capture by sandwiching. Additionally, you can surround opponent's pieces within your territory. Win by either creating six frames to capture pieces, or by securing three territories.
The app offers three CPU difficulty levels and supports player versus player (PvP) matches.
