Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held in three global cities across June:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
Further details will be released in March 2025. Remember, event details are subject to change.
This annual event offers exclusive items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses for trainers worldwide. In-person events provide unique experiences within each host city, requiring ticket purchases for participation.
Expect the appearance of rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates, exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for in-person attendees. The event will largely mirror the structure of previous years.
Two More January Events!
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over:
This event runs from January 15th, 12:00 pm to January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time). Highlights include:
- Rescuing Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
- The debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, hatching from 12 km Eggs.
- Increased appearances of Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig.
- A chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots.
Shadow Raid Day (featuring Shadow Ho-Oh):
Taking place on January 19th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time), this event allows trainers to battle and capture Shadow Ho-Oh in Five-Star Shadow Raids. A $5 USD ticket grants:
- Eight additional Raid Passes.
- Increased chances of obtaining Rare Candy XL.
- 2x Stardust.
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles.
- A higher chance of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh.
- The opportunity to teach Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
