Weapon Expertise Quests are now live in Fortnite Hunters, offering substantial XP rewards for every completed stage. But that's not all—completing these quests also unlocks access to Legendary weapons sold by NPCs on the map. This guide has been updated to include the Melee Expertise Quests added in the recent update, allowing players to purchase the Typhoon Blade from Kendo upon completion.
Weapon Expertise Quests Explained
Weapon Expertise Quests are a unique addition to Fortnite Hunters, intricately tied to specific NPCs on the map. Players are introduced to these quests through the first challenge, which requires them to talk to Hope, Ruji, or Agent Jones to learn about Expertise and weapon sales.
Each Weapon Expertise Quest consists of a series of challenges divided into five stages. Upon completion, players can unlock one of three Legendary weapons sold by Hope, Ruji, or Vengeance Jones. Subsequent quests also allow players to purchase both Oni Masks from Daigo—providing quick access to the Void and Fire Oni Masks—and the Typhoon Blade from Kendo. These quests can be tracked in the main lobby or in-game by navigating to the Quests Tab and selecting Expertise Quests.
Weapon Expertise Quests can be completed passively, but they will take time to fulfill. However, the rewards for completing them are well worth the effort. For those who are still progressing through each Weapon Expertise Quest, here are all the Expertise Rewards available for purchase:
