Design pixel art, animate sprites, and modify game textures with Inktica!
Create pixel art using Inktica - a powerful yet user-friendly pixel art editor. Inktica lets you craft artwork inspired by the low-resolution visuals of vintage computers and gaming consoles, or adjust in-game textures.
Inktica features specialized tools for detailed pixel-level image editing. Pixel art drawing options include Brush, Eraser, Flood-fill, Gradient, Line, Rectangle, Ellipse, and Pipette. These tools incorporate pixel art-specific settings, like the "pixel perfect" brush algorithm for drawing precise single-pixel lines.
Use Inktica's selection tool to copy, cut, move, and paste sections of your drawings or textures. You can also rotate or flip selections before pasting them.
Inktica includes layer support to help organize your pixel art projects and simplify editing specific elements.
Bring your sprites to life using animation tools. When creating pixel animations, the onion skin feature lets you easily compare your current frame with the previous one.
Inktica drawings can utilize color palettes from classic consoles like the Atari 2600, NES, and Game Boy. You can also import stunning color palettes from Lospec.
While drawing, you can open reference images from your gallery to quickly compare your work with source materials.
Once your artwork is complete, share it on social media or export it to your device storage. Export options include upscaling to prevent blurriness when viewed on non-pixel-art platforms.
Inktica also allows you to edit pixel art created with other tools. It supports importing Aseprite files (.ase, .aseprite) along with common image formats (.png, .jpeg, .gif, etc.).
