This classic card game uses a standard 52-card deck plus a joker. The number of cards dealt depends on the number of players: 13 cards for two players, 7 for three or four.
The objective? Score over 500 points by creating sets (same rank) and runs (consecutive cards of the same suit). Jokers act as wild cards. Points are awarded for melds (laid-down sets and runs) and laying off cards onto existing melds. Numbered cards (2-10) are worth face value, royals (J, Q, K) are 10 points each, Aces are 15, and jokers take the value of the card they replace. At the end of a round, the total meld value minus the value of unmelded cards determines the round score. The first player to reach or exceed 500 points wins! Ties result in an additional round.
Gameplay involves strategic card selection from either the stockpile or discard pile (but you can't discard the same card you just drew). Skill and focus are key to maximizing your score by strategically using the discard pile and laying off cards onto existing melds.
