Card Point Values:

• Jacks: 3 points each
• Nines: 2 points each
• Aces: 1 point each
• Tens: 1 point each
• Kings, Queens, Eights, Sevens: 0 points

The total point value is usually 28, although some variations add a point for the last trick, resulting in a total of 29 (hence the game's name).

Traditionally, the twos through fives are used as trump indicators, and the sixes for scorekeeping.
